The short version. Cost of Me shows you what your own habits add up to. It isn't financial advice, the projections are estimates based on what you log, and you can cancel a subscription whenever you like.
What this is
Cost of Me is a personal habit cost tracker. You record what you buy; the app does the arithmetic and shows you what it comes to over a week, a year, or five years.
Not financial advice
Nothing in the app is financial, tax or investment advice, and it doesn't take your circumstances into account. Projections and estimated savings are calculated from what you've entered, using your own recent behaviour — they're an illustration, not a forecast, and not a promise of any result. Decisions about your money are yours.
Accuracy
The app is only as accurate as what you put into it. Estimated savings from challenges are clearly labelled as estimates and don't represent money moved anywhere.
Accounts
You're responsible for the email address you sign in with and for anything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
Subscriptions and payment
- Free costs nothing and needs no card.
- Pro is $4.99 AUD a month or $39.99 AUD a year. Cost of Me is not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged on these prices.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from your account — you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Founding Member is a single payment of $79.99 AUD for lifetime Pro access, limited to the first 500 people. "Lifetime" means for as long as Cost of Me operates as a service.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- If you subscribe through Apple or Google, their billing terms apply and you cancel through your store account, not here.
Refunds
If Cost of Me isn't for you, email us within 14 days of a payment and we'll refund it, no explanation needed. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which we don't exclude — including your right to a remedy if the service isn't as described.
If we change or stop the service
We may add, change or remove features. If we ever have to shut the service down, we'll give notice and time to export your data, and we'll refund the unused portion of any subscription.
Fair use
Don't try to break the app, get around payment, or use it to do anything unlawful.
Liability
Cost of Me is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for decisions made using the app's numbers. Nothing here limits rights that can't be limited under Australian law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
